1/5/20 - How to Train Your Dragon: Hidden World (2019) - 6-/10

A satisfying end to the series. I saw the first one, and despite skipping the second, this felt like a worthy conclusion to the Toothless saga. The animation for this one is brilliant. Especially so when they visit “the hidden world”, with its density and brilliance being very reminiscent of Coco’s afterlife scene. Technically, it was quite impressive.

Some of the voice talents and the characters are so very kid oriented that they grate on my nerves so, but many of the principles are earnest enough and the adventure solidly enjoyable that it keeps it straying into the path of worthiness. A fine and fun little fantasy adventure flick.
