AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 (2014)

5/7/2014 - The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) - 4/10

Toyed between 4 and 5. Landed on 5 originally, b/c it was at least fun enough, but I don't think it is good enough..
Ok. Quick little rant, if anyone cares...
SPOILERS!
Ok. What a fracking mess! This script was more of an outline, with highlighted bullet points, than a distinct and clear narrative with a drive and a focus. Every plot point gets dissipated by another failed plot point gets pushed into view instead. There is no breath nor natural growth.
The love story kind of kept this afloat (was the only story that was even close to being payed off ) but a lot of that was the innate likability of the 2 actors and their onscreen chemistry. Don't care enough to talk about how bad everything else is (unless you want me to).
