7/23/2015 - Starred Up (2013) - 7+/10

Spartan in its plot and design, but the acting and the characters ooze drama and realness. More Oz/Scarred Straight than Chopper/Bronson, but O'Connel brings it with a charisma and dedication reminiscent of Banna and Hardy. However thin it may be in extended & deep plot, it makes up for in thickness...as in thick British accent and continuous sense slang. Even as an Anglophile, subtitles/cc is a must.
A quite good film. Probably breaks into my top 5 prison films. Probably.
