R100 (2013) — Sleeper Awakened

A bizarre mix of dark s&m sex romp and tender drama, but with weird and brash exploitative Kaufman-esque Gonzo sheet thrown over it and it is beaten with insanity sticks to some masochistic climax. I was onboard with the 1st half of this film, but then it swerves from eclectic eccentricities to outright bug-funning insanity. Be it the ever indecipherable plot, the cartoon characters-come-to-life, or the meta-critique (actual people inside the film watching he film and critiquing DURING THE FILM), it lost a chunk of its fun and became a gratuitous and amorphous oddity.

If you like bizarre and bondage, this is your film. Personally, I need to get my euphoria elsewhere.
