9/8/2015 - End of the Tour (2015) - 7/10

Intelligent and low-key. Introspective and enjoyable. Certainly not the best/my favorite film about a couple people mostly just talking to each other (Dinner with Andre, Locke, and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead come to mind), but still quite good.

I knew next to nothing about Lipsky and Wallace, but they craft and engaging narrative and construct a couple subtle & complex characters struggling with what they are. Segel gives his best performance, bringing depth and nuance with his natural comedic magnetism. Eisenberg struggles to escape the witty, neurotic, standard role he usually plays. He does his job well, just lacking the uniqueness one might like.

An interesting look into the twisted duality of art, its creation, and it's appreciation while enjoying hanging out with these guys. A bittersweetly agreeable flick about 2 writers that hints at so much more culturally, emotionally, and artistically.
Worth the watch.
